This Blog is to keep track of any physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual changes throughout the fast with the help of Kenny, my significant other. This may sound "extreme" to some but there are procedures in preparation for a detox like this one to make sure the fast is indeed being used in a healthy manner. I will be providing detailed information about the fast, why I am doing it, and why other's should as well. Main Reference: Tom J. Chalko's book "The Joy of Perfect Health."

Day 2
9:16am, All night I kept having to urinate and kept feeling extremely dizzy. I woke up earlier this morning still feeling really dizzy and ended up throwing up. It was really acidic and it burned my throat really bad, more so than it usually ever did. I was feeling a bit scared at first but after Kenny did some research on it this is quite common. Because our bodies are getting rid of all these impurities it is trying to get rid of them any way it can; that's why I threw up. The feeling dizzy part was common too, I just had to take a few deep breathes before I got up.
6:32pm I feel a bit better now. I went to an event from 11-5 with 2 liters of bottles (1liter Aquafina water bottles), one with water and one with honey water since I wasn’t feeling too good, and I was just fine! I noticed drinking constant water gives me a lot of energy but when I don’t I get drained almost instantly. My food has been substituted by water. I came home and Kenny gave me a massage*. So far feeling good again.
(Note) During the fast, if you feel the lack of food is making you uncomfortable, for me it was the dizziness, you can add a teaspoon of *NATURAL HONEY into your water two to three times a day. Do not add honey to hot water. Lukewarm water is best.
Do NOT use regular honey, make sure you are using *All-Natural Honey. Your body is trying to heal itself in the most natural way.
Also, massages are suppose to help you're body get rid of toxins as well.

Day 1 (First actual day of Fast)
10:30am woke up, no bowel movements yet. A lot of rumbling and movement inside my stomach but
not much more than that. Feeling okay.
5:42pm I feel pretty good, body feels more aware of itself, all my senses feel like they’re “on-alert.” I’ve been urinating a lot, not much bowel movement though and I don’t know it that’s good or not but I feel ok so I’m not too worried about it.
11:45pm Had another Enema. Looked up some great recipes too today so when the fast is over I have something to reward myself with. I’m determined to see how things change after these whole two weeks! Glad I have Kenny by my side helping me :)
(Note) Initially Kenny was doing the fast with me but he had to stop due to discomfort. He's done the fast before for 7 days but when he broke the fast (again I'll give detail on how to do this later) he didn't break out of it properly. So his body went into a "shock" unfortunately. So yes, fasting can be dangerous but with the proper preparation and guidelines you can be successful.

Final Preparation Before Fast
So it's Friday night and me and Kenny have treated ourselves to a nice enema. My first. I’m excited to see how it goes, I’m feeling pretty good about it. The enema procedure varies I'm sure, for it took 2 and a half hours! Crazy! Feels good though doing something good for my body, mind, and spirit. I’m sure I’ll have more to write about later when things (hopefully) start changing. I say hopefully because I’m not sure how things will exactly change for me. But we’ll see… Excited for my total cleansing!

What is an Enema? Why is it Important to do Before & During a Fast?
What is an Enema?
So first things first for all my curious readers.
An enema, sometimes called a Colonic, is a procedure where you insert liquids into the rectum and colon through the anus. All of the liquid being inserted (for the fast it's pure water) rapidly expands the lower intestinal tract (where toxins get stuck). Because you are injecting water into your intestines, this fills you up and can make you feel bloated and may give you cramps but while doing the enema you should stop the water flow once you feel discomfort because that is usually an indication that you are ready to let the water out. After pulling out the nozzle (a small straw shaped tube that you put in your anus) you can do a few jumps or sit ups if you can and your body will know if it can't hold the fluid anymore. So once your body knows it can't hold it any longer you sit on the toilet and slowly let the fluid out while rubbing your stomach to help. Once you let it out the cramps go away almost instantly; you're cramping because your full. Doing an enema is the best way to cleanse your body instead of using laxatives. It works fast and it cleans the important area of you're body that needs cleansing. Enemas are not only used for fasting, but also other medical conditions like constipation. Typically anytime you feel sick, an enema can heal you instantly.
By weight, most of our solid waste leaves our body through the bowels. So during detoxification, the main area of improvement or attending to should start here. Enemas relieve our body from many kilograms of toxic waste. Waste that we should not be attached to at all.
Why is an Enema Important to do Before and During a Fast?
So in the evening of Day 1, procedures say to make an enema; the most important step for a fast. Again, Never attempt fasting without doing an enema first! Reason: Before fasting, your body was expecting a new load of food to digest and absorb every day. When your intestines are full and you stop eating, some of the food waste in absorbed back into your bloodstream. This will cause extra poisoning, because the body absorbs the toxic waste, which was prepared for excretion.

Procedure for Safe Fasting
Before Fasting
Prepare a supply of pure water and pure water only. Do not use tap water because it usually contains chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals from pipelines, traces of herbicides, pesticides, solvents and many more and should not even be consumed at all as drinking water for obvious reasons. Spring water from a safe source is best but if you're like me and live in Arizona, filtered water could be used too. So spring water is best or even rain water from the country where the air is clean.
2 Days Before Fasting
Eat light food, mostly fruit, I went ahead of myself and started preparing about 4 days prior to the fast and ate nothing but organic* fruit, very small portion of organic* vegetables and all natural Greek yogurt with honey. (I recommend eating organic, local, or "all natural" food before the fast. The purpose of this fast is to get healthier and feeding your body more toxins isn't going to help it any, if your goal is to get healthy, start asap). No meat, no fish, and no eggs. No alcohol. Drink at least 2 liters of water. Eat breakfast and lunch only. Skip dinner. Vegetarians could skip this step and go to the next.

In the evening make an enema (this is the single most important step). Never attempt fasting without making an enema first, you could really hurt yourself instead of helping. (I'll create a post on why this is). After the enema go to bed early. Your body is in already in a self-cleansing state and will continue to cleanse itself while you sleep.

Alternative Medicine
People have been curing themselves in various ways for many thousands of years. Over this time, techniques used have proved to be quite effective and popular. Almost every civilization in the past had it's own favorite medical practice they thought worked best. Today, we are very fortunate to still have some of this information available to us and we can take advantage of the accumulated wisdom of many generations of talented and enlightened people.
The original principles of orthodox medicine essentially support the view, that the patients should be able to seek another opinion.
An increasing amount of people, especially when confronted with a diagnosis of a disease considered "incurable" by orthodox medicine (such as advanced cancer) turn to alternative forms of treatment, which were proven through centuries. To the surprise of orthodox doctors, many such patients succeed in greatly improving their state of health and surviving for many years, against all predictions and expectations based upon medical statistics.
Alternative methods include, among other:
